I submitted a story last month and was very excited to receive this e-mail today. I am thankful for this great opportunity to be published for the first time. Hopefully it will be the first of many to come! 🙂

Your story “Finding My Running Shoes  ” has made it to the final selection round for Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Power of Positive. Only a small percent of the submitted stories have made it this far. The vast majority of stories in this “last round” will appear in the book, but we do not make the final decisions until about a month before the publication date.
 The on sale date is scheduled for October 23, 2012. You will receive $200.00 for each of your stories one month after publication of the book. You will receive ten free copies of the book for each of your published stories, and we usually send those to you prior to the on sale date.
